A semi-custom wood range hood is a made-to-order, handcrafted hood cover that combines predefined designs with customizable sizing and finishes, bridging the gap between stock models and fully bespoke cabinetry pieces.

How do semi-custom range hoods install?

We use a two-piece construction, a wall-mounted base and ornamental top, making it easier to install the ventilation insert first and then attach the decorative hood.

Can I match my hood to my cabinets?

Yes. All our semi-custom wood range hoods come in the same finishes and wood species to match our kitchen cabinets.

Are semi-custom wood range hoods functional or just decorative?

While the visible wood part is decorative, the hood is designed to house a functional ventilation insert or liner that does the work of moving smoke and odors out of the kitchen. Standard ventilation systems are integrated behind the wood cover.

Do semi-custom wood hoods cost more than stock metal hoods?

Generally, yes, because they are handcrafted, made-to-order pieces with more design flexibility and premium materials. However, they are typically less expensive and faster to deliver than fully custom wood hoods.

30-Day Return Policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. There are NO RETURNS ON ASSEMBLED CABINETS as these are custom made cabinets.

To start a return, please contact us. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. All returns will incur a 10% re-stocking fee.

Lifetime Warranty

Depth Cabinetry is pleased to provide a limited lifetime warranty. This warrants to original consumer purchaser(s) for as long as they own their home that the drawer box, drawer glides, and hinges used in the manufacturing of Depth Cabinetry products shall be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use.
